Micrologic G.P.S
Has any body got an old Micrologic g.p.s that's busted as I have just broken
my antenna and its not worth the cost of a new one so if any one has a
knackered g.p.s and they want to sell the antenna please let me know. Ken

Can you be more specific about what you mean by "its not worth the cost
of a new one"? What *is* the cost a new antenna, and how much would you
not consider too much?

If it's the case that a Micrologic antenna is too expensive because they're
obsolete and difficult to source, perhaps another type will do instead.

When my ML-250 broke some four or five years ago I replaced it with a
Garmin 128. Instead of replacing the ML's antenna with the Garmin one I
thought I'd just try to see if the Garmin unit worked with the ML antenna.
It did, perfectly, so I didn't bother swapping the antennas over.

Given that my ML mushroom works with my Garmin box, I'd say the chances
are pretty good that a Garmin mushroom will work with an ML box.

You can buy a Garmin GA29 antenna new for around 60 or make me an offer
for my spare one.

Re: Micrologic G.P.S
Have a look at www.gps4less.co.uk

They do a generic replacement aerial for about 30 squid. Works fine
with Garmin 126. When I bought mine, they said they would take it back
if it didnt work. Good service, arrived next day.
